Nelco Model A-1

made in Japan

This fine straight-stitch sewing machine was made in Japan. After The War, Japanese companies copied the famous Singer 15-91, one of the best sewing machines made.

With traditional Japanese dedication to quality and precision, they actually turned out machines that were better than the originals, in many cases.

With more powerful motors, an innovative presser foot release, easy dropping feed dogs, as well as close attention to detail, they made some of the finest sewing machines, ever.

And they painted them in some glorious colors, with finely detailed chrome cover plates.

Hmmmmm...speaking of colors, these pictures came out a little lighter than reality. It's just a little more on the beige side. Still pretty, though. Watch the
video to see the true color.

In this video, you'll see how to thread this type of machine, how to wind the bobbins, sew a seam, sew in reverse, and how to do free-hand sewing and machine embroidery.

And of course you'll get to see this machine sew and listen to it before you click the Buy button.

The motor on this Nelco is about twice the amperage of the Singer 15-91. It's fast, smooth, and powerful.

It's easy to sew on, and in the demo video we've made, you'll see how to wind the bobbin, thread the machine, make a seam, darn, and free-hand sew.

Here at Stagecoach Road Sewing, we love these machines, and work to bring them back to the very best that they can be

We take them apart, inspect, clean, lube, adjust, and generally look for any problems or potential problems. Then we detail them to look like new and test them rigorously.

Because we believe in these beautiful, built-to-last machines and in the work we do, we offer this free Lifetime Guaranty: If you ever have a problem with one of our restored, vintage machines, we'll fix it for free. You, of course, pay for any parts or shipping. See the details on our website: http://stagecoachroadsewing.com
