The Singer 301 is one of the best machines that Singer ever made. Directly descended from the famous Singer Featherweight, it has some of the features of the Featherweight combined with the new features of the Slant-O-Matic design.
It has a lightweight aluminum body like the Featherweight, and the fold-up sewing bed, and it uses the same bobbin and bobbin case as the Featherweight, and the same type hook. It sews the same neat straight-stitch that's so popular with quilters and crafters, and with it's built-in carry handle and light weight, it's super portable.
It has the Slant-Needle design of the Slant-O-Matics for improved visability of your project, and the built-in sewing light. It's also a full-sized machine, capable of handling your big projects. It has the same all-steel gear drive as the fabulous Singer 401A.
Watch the video we've made of it's final test, where you'll see it sew 8-layers of heavy denim and also leather. You'll see how to thread it and wind the bobbin, and you'll see how to sew with it, adjust the stitch length, and sew in reverse.

As you can see in the photos, this machine is like a new machine. It's been stored for decades, waiting to be rediscovered and restored to it's original full beauty and working condition. It has a few chips in the paint and the usual pin scratches on the bed, otherwise it's in excellent condition.
Here at Stagecoach Road Sewing, we love these machines, and work to bring them back to the very best that they can be. We take them apart, inspect, clean, lube, adjust, and generally look for any problems or potential problems. Then we detail them to look like new and test them rigorously.
Because we believe in these beautiful, built-to-last machines and in the work we do, we offer this free Lifetime Guaranty: If you ever have a problem with one of our restored, vintage machines, we'll fix it for free. You, of course, pay for any parts or shipping. See the details on our website: http://stagecoachroadsewing.com
This beautiful machine came to me without case or table. At your request, we'll put it in a case for you. It can be a high-impact plastic case or something more interesting.
